Sheri Greves-Neilson
GREVES-NEILSON, SHERI
Sheri Greves-Neilson has been interested in art for as long as she can remember. She became a professional artist in 1981 and almost immediately, began winning awards. Sheri has received gold medals for her drawings at the American Indian and Cowboy Artist Exhibit, the Draft Horse Classic Art Show, the Scottsdale Artistís Schoolís Best and Brightest Show, and the San Dimas Festival of Western Art. He work has been featured in Art of the West magazine (Oct/Nov. í98), Equine Image magazine (June/Julyí99) and American Artist magazine (Mayí85). Sheriís work has been exhibited with the Colored Pencil Society of America, the Coorís Western Art Show (Denver, Co.), the Peppertree Ranch Art Show (Santa Ynez, Ca.), the Mountain Oyster Show (Tucson, Az.), the Cattlemanís Western Art Show (San Luis Obispo, Ca.), the Red Man Invitational (Bartlesville, Ok.), and the Tucson Museum of Artís Women Artists and the West Show. She has also been a juror for the California State Fairís ìCalifornia Worksî exhibit and the Draft Horse Classic Art Show. Sheri works in pencil, gathering material from local sources, and traveling to ranches whenever possible. The subject matter is always a figure of some kind. Domestic animals, especially horses are her favorites. |
